In my class, I work with students in the 11th grade who make me smile every day. As part of one of the largest Hawaiian communities in the world, my students' uniqueness, individuality, and pursuit of becoming lifelong learners remind me daily why I chose to become a teacher. Students in my class benefit from hands-on learning experiences that incorporate their heritage and culture. We work on building real-world skills that help to foster the Design Thinking Process and to connect student culture, community, and self with the goal of creating life-long relationships.
