I am a first grade teacher at West Side Elementary School in Elkhart, Indiana. Our students come mostly from homes below the poverty line; the majority of students in my class speak a language other than English at home. In addition to teaching in this awesome community, I also live in it. I fully embrace our school motto which is "Reach and Teach, Whatever it Takes!"
