Our Buzz store was created as a place students can "cash-in" their Buzz Bucks for items and supplies of their choosing. Students get a chance to earn Buzz Bucks by demonstrating the different components of the Buzz. Depending on the severity of the action determines the amount of Buzz Bucks they receive. The school store is ran by a team of teachers and our student leadership team, the Old School Hornets. We open the store every week for students so they can purchase their supplies and/or goods. When the student is wanting to "cash-in" their Buzz Bucks they are given a chance to share what they did to demonstrate the Buzz.
We have seen a HUGE increase in positive student conduct/behavior along with school culture since we have started this program. So many students are not being taught the solid values outside of school anymore. Our team has decided to go above and beyond our required programs, and sometimes budget, to make sure our young leaders are taught the importance and value of kindness, respect, responsibility, and safety in everyday life!
