The materials that I have asked for are to help create an emotionally "safe zone" in our classroom. In this area, the students will be able to meet for emotional support class meetings. They will be able to sit on the bright colored rug while discussing one of the many books donated, that will help develop interpersonal skills. We will practice face-to-face connections. We will re-learn how to be compassionate and understanding with each other, as we work through coping with the emotional effects of COVID and distance learning for the last 18 months. The laminator and the paper cutter will allow me the ability to get all the Teacher Pay Teacher and bulletin board items laminated, cut, and ready to use with my 3rd graders.
