The students in my classroom are enrolled in a program called PACE. It is a Program Approach to Career Employment (PACE). The students are post-secondary transition students that are between the ages of 18-22 with Intellectual Disabilities/Autism. The main goal of PACE is to place young adults with disabilities in the competitive work force. This program has several areas of emphasis such as employ-ability skills, career exploration, employment related academics and job seeking skills. My students are in need of updated technology so that they can learn how to write a resume, send email, fill out online job applications and participate in all online activities that are needed to be a successful employee or community member.
