Hi! My name is Liz Natale and I am a SLP in a high poverty Elementary School in an urban area. I work with children ages 3-12 who have a variety of diagnoses including autism, dyslexia, hearing loss, language-based learning disability, speech-language delay, fluency disorder, ADHD, articulation disorder, seizure disorder, muscular dystrophy, and neurological impairment. Most of my students are English Language Learners who attend both general education and substantially separate classes. I work with students both in the classroom co-teaching and in pull-out individual and small group sessions.
This year my school has extended learning time which has allowed me to spend more time collaborating with teachers about best ways to help our students with disabilities access the curriculum. Our extended learning time has also given me more time to work directly with students to provide them with individualized instruction.
