Walk into this classroom on any given day and you will be greeted by a group of intelligent, humorous, curious fifth graders. In our room, we consider ourselves a classroom family. A group of individuals with varying ability levels, cultural backgrounds, or religious beliefs that have learned to work and communicate with one another in a respectful way. How did this come to be you may wonder? Well, visit our hallways and you will find educators in this building who feel that each individual child in this building is their own. As a staff, we believe in the importance of looking out for one another, greeting each other every morning, and being the shoulder to lean on when the days are tough. Our students in turn have to learned this practice. They are learning through example. Growing up in a lower income school, our students have learned the value of human interaction. They respect, love, and care for one another.
