These items will make a difference by helping supply materials needed in the classroom that the parents of our students cannot provide sometimes.
Our district and my students were affected and some still affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston. On top of this, our district is located in a low-income area.
Because of this, I constantly have students asking for pencils and notebooks. These supplies may sound like basic items, but they are the most necessary and scarce.
In addition, the dry erase boards and markers will help with the cost of using paper and notebook space for quick assessments and increase participation and collaboration.
