Our bilingual students come to us with several years of academic gap. They do not speak English and are very behind in their own language, so it is a challenge every school year to help them grow at least 2 school years besides learning two languages. They need iPads in the classroom in order to accelerate closing this academic delay. They are very attracted to technology and enjoy using it while learning. It is fun for them as they play with educational sites and apps that help them learn English and Spanish. Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies and Health. They will use the iPads in their learning centers, small groups and independent work.
About my class
