This school year we lost funding for our STEM Coordinator. We are now required to bring more STEM into our classroom. These Chromebooks will be used as part of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) center in my classroom. The purpose of this center is for students to collaborate on science and math projects using Google Apps. For example, Living in Louisiana is it important for us to track the weather during Hurricane Season, students can research and track Hurricane patterns and keep their data in a shared file that all students can contribute to. They can work together to create digital projects such as drawings or presentations to prove their knowledge of the subject. They can use their data and collaboration tools to investigate further and create hands-on experiments to share.
Your donations will give my students the tools to collaborate and go beyond the textbook in my classroom and create their own STEM adventures.
These are skills they will need in our digital future so that they can achieve their future goals.
