My school is a transition center dedicated to meeting the needs of students ages 16-22 with disabilities. We are a public school located on the south side of Chicago, and our student population is majority low-income. We empower our students to learn the functional, social-emotional, and vocational skills that they will need to function as independently as possible within their communities. Our students receive instruction in a variety of independent living and vocational learning labs, including culinary arts, production, grocery store, pet shop, retail, and carpentry.
