Larkspur Middle School serves approximately 1,550 students, all of whom come to the library several times during the school year, whether individually or with classes. About 50% are eligible for free or reduced lunch. Many come from active duty military families. About 10% are identified as SPED. Our ESL population grows every year.
The library is shifting to a learning commons model. Our mission is provide users with the tools needed to be lifelong learners. Learning commons provide spaces and tools for learning, collaboration, content creation, social learning, tutoring, study, reading, and a hub for all learners.
