Each one of my students has their own special way of learning. They are highly motivated and they are curious. They are creative and they are anxious to learn and to please. My students want answers and strive each day to be creative in our 21st century. However, our school does not have the most up-to-date technology. My 24 students share six classroom computers that are not consistently cooperative and much of my small group time is wasted on assisting other students with computer issues. A majority of my students do not have computers at home, making it difficult for them to participate in project based assignments. I believe it is imperative to teach my students in a small group setting so I can reach each child and help them to become the best versions of themselves. I think it is equally important to provide them with the opportunity to learn about those things that may not be accessible to them outside the four walls of their classroom.
