The students in our classroom have the joy of belonging to a blended co-taught special education inclusion model. We have nine general education students and 10 special education students. Most of our special education students have specific learning disabilities, and reading is the area of greatest deficit for them. However, as the quote above states, they rarely give up! Each day our general and special education students collaborate and cooperate to make their learning experiences amazing for one another. You will never hear put-downs or negative remarks being made. It truly is an INCLUSIVE classroom... and a wonderful place to be each day.
