It is my pleasure teaching students with such diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Our populations is equally divided into Black, white, and Hispanic. Approximately 83% of students receive free or reduced price lunch. My students have a strong desire to learn, as evidenced by the time and effort they put into their courses of study. Many students choose to stay after school several afternoons each week to use our virtual learning lab. This community of learners is very supportive of one another. Many students, ahead in their courses, offer to assist other students with understanding lesson concepts. Approximately 60% of my students have access to computers, headphones, and other resources needed to be successful in my class. The other 40% can not afford the supplies, such as the headphones needed to listen to course videos and participate in live Elluminate sessions.
