The students are an adorable, enthusiastic group of Kindergarten kids. Our school is very diverse, a mini United Nations. The campus is in portables.The parents are enthusiastic and want the best for their children. The socioeconomic level is middle income. I just initiated Science Day, the children absolutely love it. We spent the entire morning learning about air. When I demonstrated the acid-base experiment in a bottle with a balloon connected, the entire class clapped with so much excitement and amazement, I realized, I must do more. We continued the study of air during P.E., by utilizing the parachute. The children were so happy. I want to make every Friday a spectacular Science Day! The school receives limited funding and the parents are already working hard to raise money for a music program. So there is not a lot left for individual teacher supplies. I do receive a small allotment to take the students on
