I teach at a partial language immersion school. I provide my students with their literacy and social studies instruction in English. My students learn math and science in their target language of French or Spanish. It is amazing to watch my students learn and understand academic content in another language. In my classroom I strive to create a classroom environment that is welcoming and rich with literature. My students come from many different backgrounds and experiences with reading and writing. However, each of my students are eager to learn, hardworking, and curious. My greatest joy in teaching is watching my students develop a love for reading and an excitement for learning. Watching my students succeed despite the challenges that they may face is what makes me excited to keep teaching year after year!
