The flexible seating options will cater to my students' different sensory necessities and allow them to be ready for learning whether they are bouncing on the ball or sitting in a regular chair. The compression vest will help my sensory seeking student focus better during read alouds. Likewise, the headphones will help all my students tune out unwanted noise to be able to focus on the lesson.
My students have different sensory necessities, requiring an adapted classroom with flexible seating and various sensory items that will accommodate all their needs. Students will use the kinetic sand and the foam paints during math and reading classes to trace letters and numbers and also during art activities. The bean bags, the glitter wands and the bubble machine will be housed in our calm corner area where students will relax and get ready for their next learning adventure.
My students enjoy learning, but they are unable to reach their full potential due to their sensory demands. Thanks to your generous donation, we will be able to avoid overstimulation, focus better during school work and overall be happier at school.
