As a school site, we are lacking basic supplies that any classroom needs in order for students to be successful like copy paper, pens, highlighters and materials for projects.
"A classroom without books is like a body with no soul!" My students need books to read! While we do have access to extremely outdated and old novels, there aren't any books available to us where my students can see themselves in the characters. I would like to teach units that my students are eager to engage with because they can identify with the characters and feel a sense of representation.
