I have an amazing group of students this year that are hard working and eager to learn. My students would love more choices in our classroom when it comes to seating! Students do their best when they are comfortable and flexible seating will help my students stay focused! Some of my students enjoy standing, kneeling, sitting on the floor; anything that helps get their wiggles out! Flexible seating options will not only give my students the opportunity to get out of their seats, but will also motivate them to participate and behave during class. My students need wobble chairs to help get their wiggles out!
Research has shown that students who are able to move throughout the day perform better in the classroom. The benefits of flexible seating include burning more calories, using up excess energy, improving metabolism, increased motivation and engagement, creating better oxygen flow to the brain, and improving core strength and overall posture. I am looking to provide my students with more options like yoga balls, floor cushions, scoop seats, and wobble chairs. I am confident these flexible seating options will help my students immensely!
