I have the privilege of teaching the academically and intellectually gifted children in Kindergarten through fifth grade! I have anywhere from 10 to 15 students per grade level that I pull throughout the week. I absolutely love my job, and because I am an AIG teacher I get to introduce students to concepts that are not being taught in their regular classroom. The kids are always eager to learn, usually self motivated, and excited about being a part of an AIG classroom. The way I see it is, if they are motivated and really learning, the least I could do is write grants on their behalf!
