My first graders are learning how to write both expository and narrative paragraphs. They attend a Spanish Dual Immersion school in California. They are Spanish Learners and English Learners. Vocabulary enrichment is key to their learning a second language. Because they are writing in a second language, they do not always have the vocabulary they need to express simple words which we take for granted. I would like nothing more than to give them the tools they need to be successful writers.
