The middle school I teach in would be considered 'Urban Public.' My students come from all walks of life. It is such a joy to see students from completely different backgrounds working together and learning from each other. Our Middle School has a great culture and students are eager to learn new things. I like to think they especially enjoy coming to my classroom because as long as they're into the science, I don't mind if they're hanging out with friends or on their feet or maybe just a pinch too loud. I think my classroom affords students the opportunity to really open up and explore content on their own while also providing a structure for getting them ready for high school and beyond.
