I teach in a Mississippi title one school, where the majority of the students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch. I teach the kindergarten-second grade self-contained special education class. My students have disabilities that prevent them from being in the general education classroom. Some are nonverbal, developmental delayed, or they are on the Autism Spectrum. The majority of my students aren't able to communicate their basic wants and needs.
