We are tired of desks in rows! With our culture of project-based learning, I want my classroom to be a flexible environment that promotes collaboration and supports different styles of learning.
With your donation to my project, I can transform my classroom into a fun place for all kids to learn and collaborate where they will feel most successful! As our final project of last school year, my students worked in groups to create their ideal classroom. They had access to Amazon and a budget to stick to, but other than that, they had freedom to design our room exactly how they would want it. Since I had a split class, about half of last year's students will get to use our flipped classroom this year!
Using their suggestions, I will be purchasing a variety of different seating options including cushions, rugs, stools and standing desks and adding them to the furniture that is already in our classroom. It is my hope that in our new environment, my students will be both more academically and socially successful!
