Our kindergarten students love participating in Learning Centers. In our classroom, two teachers lead centers and 2 centers run independently.
We are in need of independent center activities that engage our young learners.
While these students are working in their independent centers, the teachers are able to do direct small group instruction with little to no disruption. Since our center activities generally run for 15-20 it is important to keep the independent centers running as smoothly as possible.
We are very excited to build our inventory of independent center activities in our kindergarten classroom. We would love to add a few independent math centers such as the Busy Bee Subtraction Game, Pop and Learn Letters and Numbers Game and the Dragonflies Spin and Count to 20 activity. These are hands on and engaging for our young learners. Adding the rolling pins to a play-doh center will help the kids manipulate the dough into letters, numbers and shapes for yet another independent activity.
