PS/IS 295 is a small, diverse Pre-K to 8 school in Queens Village that sets high expectations for all students. We love sports, art & helping in our community.
Our school's physical library space is a vibrant center that serves a diverse population of students, families, school faculty and staff, with well over 600 active patrons. Since the transition in March 2020 to remote library services, our students' families and school community have depended greatly on vital resources and programming through our school library website.
As we embark on an unprecedented school year, hybrid learning intensifies the need for school libraries to ensure equitable access to resources, whether students are learning from home or in person. Recently, NYC DOE Library Services partnered with Overdrive to promote ebook and audiobook acquisition at both the school library and district level in order to meet this need.
