Integrating technology in today's classroom helps students stay engaged. Why not incorporate technology within the standards that are already expected of students? I have used Bloxels kits in the past to connect students with the world of animals and life structures. I have also utilized Bloxels within the language arts where students can essentially retell a story using a video game format. Finally, Bloxels have been used as a part of social studies units where students show their research on a given historical topic through the use of their own original video game.
"Technology transforms the learning experience. Students have access to an incredible amount of new opportunities. From learning how to code to learning how to better collaborate across teams and with their instructors--technology empowers students to be more creative and be more connected," explains Danny Moreco from Securedge Networks. Sphero robots can also transform student learning experience. Students can take what they know about coding, using applications on iPads, and they can also use their visual-spatial skills to transform a Sphero robot that can perform a specific task.
