My classroom is "home" to a sweet, yet diverse, group of young students. 90% of my students are minorities and/or below poverty level students. Although some may see such cultural differences as obstacles, we have embraced these differences as learning opportunities! Words cannot describe the look on my students' faces when they succeed in teaching their classmates something new from their personal background! Nor can words describe how I feel when I watch my students come together from a plethora of backgrounds to work, play, learn, and discover together.
