This project will provide a much needed boost to the picture book section of our library. I LOVE exposing ALL children to picture books through reading aloud. These books can provide positive exposure to fluent reading and showcase a variety of story elements. The beauty of picture books is they can provide an approachable resource for all students to inform and engage and act as a springboard for mini-lessons throughout the year. The books listed in this project were collected utilizing national award lists, popular authors, and student favorites. I am passionate about facilitating a love and JOY for reading and these picture books will assist in that goal!

About my class
