My kindergarten students come into the classroom with a wide range of knowledge and skills. Some have had 1 or more years of preschool and read a book every night, while some come to me with little to no knowledge of the difference of numbers, letters, or shapes or having never held a pencil or turned their own pages in a book. Throughout the year, they learn and grow so much academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. They grow in confidence, ability, and knowledge. For some, that growth is tremendous and easy to achieve. For others, it takes all year to master the basic skills...but they still show growth! Our class is focused on giving our personal best, no matter what that may look like compared to others. We encourage each other throughout the day and understand that we all have different needs to help us achieve our best.

About my class
