I work at a Title I school in Central Florida. Being a school that is Title I, means that 70% or more of the students receive free or reduced breakfast/lunch. That also means that the students don't always have the resources needed to be successful at home. That being said, I always make sure my students have the materials they need to learn with. I send books home, pencils, paper, crayons, etc. There's not a greater joy than to see a child finally understand something that they have been struggling with. I get absolute joy seeing my students make gains in their academics. I was born to be a teacher and I just become more passionate with my career choice each school year.
