These STEM-themed books will enhance our media center collection in the areas of science and technology. They will be used to introduce and complement hands-on STEM activities. Each of these titles offer our students opportunities to build curiosity about how things work in the world. Questioning how things work and looking for solutions will enhance develop the skills that will help my students become potential future engineers, inventors and scientists. These books are both informative and fun to read; engaging students and encouraging them to "think outside the box". Pairing these picture books with STEM projects also reinforces the importance of reading and literacy as building blocks to success.
