Our school is located in a rural, high poverty area of the county. The students come from diverse backgrounds and many have experienced more in their short lives than any human being (young or old) should have to encounter.
Many of my students have challenging circumstances but they do not let them stop them from trying to reach their goals each and every day.
Building a sense of community and normalcy by providing students with an idea of a future beyond their current living situation is our main priority. We want to open students eyes to the big world around them and show them they can be successful in it.
