Sometimes reading can be a challenge to first graders. Students learn and read at different levels while they are all learning the foundations and tools they need to become the successful fluent readers they need to be. Reading is not just flowing the words or looking at the pictures, but being able to understand what is being read and comprehending it as well.
One of the best ways for a student to learn how to become a great reader is to hear many different examples of reading. The devices will allow the students to hear and follow along with the story. Not only that but it will build fluency in young readers and help them gain knowledge of how fluent readers sound.
Listening to stories will help readers with understanding the stories, retelling the story and comprehension. These factors are so important for these young readers. Not every student is read to everyday and this gives them that chance to hear different stories everyday!
