My students are part of the gifted and talented program. They are students who need to be challenged. They are curious learners who strive to be the best they can be. They are not all privileged students; but some are. They are our future.
I have to keep them engaged and meet their various individual needs. There is such a big difference in abilities and that requires that I differentiate instruction daily. They become curious at a moment's notice, when we discuss the origin of why we flip the reciprocal and then multiply across when dividing fractions, they want to know the origin of why we do this. By having technology at their finger tips, I know they will go on endless journeys in their learning; all while sitting in my classroom.
