Our after school book club has joined Project LIT, a national movement to read, discuss and celebrate diverse and relevant books for students of color, inspiring them to become readers and leaders! Project LIT inspires us to read books that touch us, challenge us, and improve us as people. With this project, we hope to increase our students' access to high-quality books that reflect their experiences and dreams.
With group sets of books from the Project LIT recommended book list, our book club students will improve their reading skills, connect with each other, gain a love of reading, and be challenged to improve their community and change the world!
