My students are extremely bright young ladies that attend an all girls STEM school. They are taking and introduction to engineering class called Concepts of Engineering. In this class, students are exposed to various engineering areas such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and electrical engineering. Some of my students came from a enriched past school experiences, while some did not. My students are excited to apply the math and science that they are learning in other classes to their engineering class.. My students crave challenges and are often willing to push themselves to the limits to understand what is being taught. I want to expose my students to more so that they know that girls can be engineers.
