My students are ready to learn and they are excited about it! They are imaginative, inquisitive, and enthusiastic, despite some of the environments they come from. Our school is located in a high-poverty area where many of the children do not have toys, games, and books at home. Some of them are forced to grow up much too fast and not have the time to enjoy being a young child. They witness a lot of negativity both in home and around the community. For some of them, the school environment is the safest and happiest place to be.
