My school district is predominantly Hispanic, 88%. Most of my students are English Language Learners. They struggle with phonics and phonemic awareness. My students struggle with reading skills, reading fluency and comprehension skills. They also struggle with basic mathematics. They require unique modes of teaching and learn most when the instruction is made to be fun! They come to school everyday eager to learn the next new thing and share their ideas.
