Circle of Independent Learning (COIL) is an independent study, personalized learning, public K-12 charter school. With a vision of "reaching the unique bent of genius in each of its students," COIL's mission is to provide a "circle of learning" where the student, parent, advisory teacher, and support staff work together to address the needs of each individual student. This model provides a personalized approach to education where students are led and mentored to discover their unique learning styles, academic goals, and mature into independent, lifelong learners. COIL's vision complements FUSD's mission "to provide equitable opportunities that educate, challenge, and inspire students of all ages, talents, and ability levels while preparing each with the skills required to adapt and to succeed in an ever-changing world."
