Having a drum set for jazz band and percussion class will ensure my students are getting a well-rounded percussion education. Currently my students are playing on a make-shift drum set that is being held together by duct tape. It is difficult to teach my students how to play/read drum set music without a proper instrument. A drum set is needed in jazz band. Our jazz band meets twice a week for an hour. Acquiring a drum set will elate my students! Our make shift drum set consists of a snare with a broken stand, a duct taped tom, a functional hi-hat, and a bass drum with a hole in it. My students love to play! They love band, and they just want to learn. What more can a teacher ask for?
