Our school is a title one school that is still half day for kindergarten. We are the largest primary school in Chesapeake, which is why we have a very diverse population in ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and abilities. We have a large population of limited English students whose families come from all over the world partly due to our large military population. The abilities in my classroom range from a few students who are already reading, to 4 identified special Education students, a few possible unidentified special Education students, 6 speech students, and 2 students who knew less than 2 letters when school began.
