We will use the materials to give our 2nd and 3rd grade drama students, an authentic stage experience. Children learn many skills in performing a play that will help them in the classroom and in relationships with their friends. They learn how to interact with other students and adults, they gain confidence in their own abilities, and they learn how important it is to be responsible. According to the feedback from students, parents, and community members, last year's musical was a huge success. We want to continue to offer this rewarding experience to our students this year.
They love performing for their family and friends, and the costumes and staging make them feel really special.
We will use the socks for puppy feet and the shirts, tulle, ears and tails for the puppies and Dogs of London. The PA system will allow us to plug in the mics for the students who have speaking parts. We have also included a saw and sander to construct needed parts for our set. The canvas and sheets will be used to give us stage curtains. There are several items included for the costumes. We added microphones and stands to enhance the sound quality for the audience. All of these items will give the students a true stage experience that we hope they will never forget!
