The Chromebooks I am requesting are the exact make and model that my students currently use in the regular classrooms. They are the same ones that my 3rd-5th graders will be using for our upcoming state and district assessments. A group set in my Resource Room will help promote learning in so many ways.
This set of Chromebooks will allow me to individualize instruction for all of my students who struggle with reading, writing, and math in the regular classroom. With these systems, I can work with individuals or small groups to help meet students' needs at their level. The touch screens will help my Kindergarten students through writing programs (forming letter and numbers correctly). I can use them with all student to promote individualized reading and math practice. And I can use them with my 3rd-5th grade student to help them become more conferrable with the look and feel of our state assessments.
Although we have computers on carts available in our school, they are often in use in the classrooms and I cannot always check out those that I need for use in my room. Having my own set of Chromebooks Would benefit all of the students who come to me for extra support.
