In our classroom, we strive to build positive social relationships and meet children's sensory needs. relationship building is the key to academic and life's success. A child's social-emotional development motivates them to learn critical skills such as the ability to communicate, connect with others, resolve conflict, self regulate, display kindness and empathy and cope with challenges.
Sensory materials that they can manipulate in water or sand allows my students to learn skills and manage their emotional needs.
The materials I chose will allow students to explore independently when they need a break from peers and regulate their feelings and learn to build healthy and positive relationships.
