As a school social worker, I often connect students to resources. Common needs are basic school supplies (pens, pencils, bookbags, post-it notes for book annotations). Frequently, I supply feminine products for students and typically buy out of pocket. Deodorant is also an item in demand in my office. These items are very expensive, so I decided to include them in my list. In addition, there are often students who refuse to go to class or refuse to take off hats or hoods due to not having their hair done. In order to get students back to class, I am requesting hair products such as hair wraps, gels, wide headbands, and pick combs.
