My Biology classroom is filled with a diverse, hardworking community where most of my students are English Learners, economically disadvantaged, and often the first in their families planning to attend college. They come in with so much potential and a real curiosity about how living things work, but they don’t always have access to the hands-on resources that make science come alive.
Our classroom is built on giving them real experiences — not just reading about science, but actually doing it. Materials that let them engage directly with biology help level the playing field and give them the confidence to see themselves in future STEM careers. These resources truly matter for my students.
