My students are in a military community in a Title 1 elementary school and they do not always have access to the resources they need in order to improve their learning. As a music teacher, my job is to provide hands-on instruction to make music accessible to their young minds. I managed to find the budget to purchase a class set of recorders, but the mask mandate is still in place in my county, and the students are not able to play them. I am trying to purchase a class set of ukuleles so that the students don't feel as though they are missing out due to Covid.
