Having a weekly news source that is appropriately leveled is so important for helping young learners become interested in the world around them. Time for Kids brings the world to our classroom and creates a basis for discussion, instruction, and exploration. It's an exciting time in our world. I want my students to know what is waiting for them outside of our community. It's never too early to get students excited about their future and to get them college and career ready. A print rich environment is a necessity in my classroom and being able to add a weekly on level reading sources to my students' book boxes will help advance their reading skills as well as enrich their social science curriculum. My job is to not just teach reading, writing, and math but to prepare our future leaders and send them into the world as empathetic world citizens.
